Age limit

The minimum age requirement for applicants for the Freshers/Ex-ITI and MLT roles is 15, and they CANNOT be older than 22 or 24.

The upper age limit may be relaxed by up to three years for OBC applicants, five years for SC/ST candidates, and ten years for individuals with benchmark disabilities (PwBD).

Educational Qualification

Fresher’s Category

Fitter, Painter & Welder – Should have completed the 10th grade under the 10+2 system of education or its equivalent (with a minimum of 50% overall).

Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology ) – Should have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th grade under the 10, +2 system of education (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks).

Ex-ITI Category

Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder(G&E), Wireman, Advance Welder & R&AC – Should have completed an ITI course in the relevant trade at an ITI recognised by the government and the 10 + 2 System of education, with a minimum of 50% overall marks.

Electrician – Should have completed an ITI programme in the relevant trade at a Government-recognized ITI and have completed the 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under the 10 + 2 System of Education with Science as one of the courses or its equivalent.

Electronics Mechanic – Should have completed a government-recognized ITI course in the relevant trade and completed a 10th Class under the 10 + 2 System of education in mathematics and science (physics and chemistry) or a subject that is equivalent.

PASAA – Should have earned a National Trade Certificate in “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant” from the National Council for Vocational Training after completing 10th grade under the 10+2 system of education with at least 50% of the possible points overall.

Minimum Academic /Technical Qualification as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 – A minimum of 50% overall in the 10+2 system or an equivalent examination for the 10th class is required. The scores earned by candidates in all subjects—rather than just one topic or a set of subjects, such the best of five—will be taken into account when determining their percentage of graduation. Candidates will be evaluated based on their average grade throughout the board of secondary education in Andhra Pradesh, the board of public examination in Kerala, etc., and the administration. As there is no set formula or multiplier for calculating the average of matriculation for such Boards, midpoints of all attempted subjects will be obtained according to grades given, and the average will be determined using each subject as out of 100 marks.

Must have completed an approved ITI Course in the appropriate trades. Only the average marks shown in the combined statement of marks for all applied trade semesters or the marks listed in the provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT will be taken into account for the percentage of ITI marks.

Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner,Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter,Painter, Trimmer,Welder(G&E), Wireman,Advance Welder & R&AC – Should have completed a Loth Class course in a government-recognized ITI with a minimum of 50% overall marks under the 10 + 2 educational system.

Electrician – Must have completed the ITI course in the appropriate trade at a Government-recognized ITI and have completed the Loth Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under the 10 + 2 System of Education with Science as one of the courses or its equivalent.

Electronics Mechanic – Should have completed an ITI programme in the relevant trade at a Government authorised ITI and have completed the 10th Class under the 10 + 2 System of education in science (physics and chemistry) and math, or a subject that is comparable.

PASAA – Should have earned a National Trade Certificate in “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant” from the National Council for Vocational Training after completing Loth Class under the 10+2 educational system with at least 50% overall.
