Introduction

The Tamil Nadu Medical Services Recruitment Board (TN MRB) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of nurses in the Tamilnadu Medical Subordinate Services for the differently abled person category. On or before March 22, 2022, willing and interested people can apply online for the positions at mrb.tn.gov.in.

About Us

The Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O. (Ms) No.1, Health and Family Welfare (C2) Department, dated 02.01.2012, with the goal of making direct recruitment appointments to various categories of staff in the Health and Family Welfare Department as soon as possible, taking into account the type, importance, and necessity of these positions. The Medical Services Recruitment Board began operations on February 6, 2012.

Under the Health and Family Welfare Department’s numerous directorates, there are over 200 different job categories. The MRB is responsible for all direct recruitment positions (with the exception of Drivers, TNPSC appointments, and all Basic Services positions).

Educational Qualification

On or before the date of this notification, 02.03.2022, candidates must have the following qualifications.

Furthermore, on or before the date of this notification, 02.03.2022, the Candidate must have obtained a Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a Government / Government recognised institution and be permanently registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.

Nurses(Women):

A) Successful completion of three years of general nursing for men and women and six months of midwifery training in an institution approved by the State Government under rule 37 of the rules made under sub-section (2) of section 11 of the Madras Nurses and Midwives Act 1926 with the qualifications prescribed for registration as Nurse and Maternity Assistant under the said Act in both cases.

A foreign training equivalent to or superior to the aforementioned training, as determined by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, or possession of a basic degree in nursing from a University or institution recognised by UGC for the purpose of this programme.

B) However, for employment as a Nurse, a person with the foregoing qualifications, or merely the qualification in general nursing, and who has served in the military satisfactorily, is preferred: Provided, however, that a person who has only received general nursing training is unwilling to undergo Gynecology and Obstetrics training will not be appointed to the service.

Nurses(Men):

A) (I) Successful completion of General Nursing training for a period of not less than three years in an institution approved by the State Government, and (ii) Successful completion of Psychiatry / Midwifery training for a period of six months after successful completion of General Nursing training in an institution approved by the State Government.

B) A basic nursing degree from a university or institution recognised by the UGC for the purpose of receiving a financial grant.

Explanation:

1. According to the Indian Nursing Council Regulations, the duration of the DGNM programme from 1991–1992 to 2006–2007 is three years, including a six-month internship.

2. According to the Indian Nursing Council New Regulation, the duration of the DGNM course from 2007 to 2014 is 3 years and 6 months of internship.

3. Beginning in 2015-2016, the DGNM Course will be three years long, including a six-month internship, as per the Indian Nursing Council’s new regulations.

Salary Details

Consolidated Pay of Rs.14,000/- per month
